Anna Holzer-Kawalko wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Internationalen Graduiertenkolleg »Belongings: Jewish Material Culture in Twentieth-Century Europe and Beyond« und zudem assoziierte Wissenschaftlerin des Dubnow-Instituts. Von 2022 bis 2025 war sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Leo Baeck Institute Jerusalem im Projekt »Das materielle und geistige Erbe der Hochschule für die Wissenschaft des Judentums«.

Promotion zum Dr. phil. 2022 an der Hebräischen Universität Jerusalem. Thema der Dissertation: »Vanishing Heritage: Nation-Building, Cultural Restitution and German-Jewish Libraries in Postwar Czechoslovakia«.
