Yevheniia Shyshkina ist seit September 2024 Stipendiatin am Dubnow-Institut. 

Studium der Geschichte und Archivwissenschaften an der V.Karasin Kharkiv National University von 1999 bis 2004. Promotion mit einer Spezialisierung auf Historiographie, Quellenkunde und historische Spezialdisziplinen im Jahr 2008; Thema der Dissertation: »Emergency Paper Money (notes) of Ukraine in 1914-1925 as a Historical Sources«. Forschungsprojekte am Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center, Kiew im Jahr 2021, am Moldova-Institut Leipzig e.V., gefördert durch die VolkswagenStiftung von 2022 bis 2023, sowie am »Leibniz ScienceCampus Eastern Europe – Global Area« in Leipzig im Jahr 2024.
