Working as a Research Associate at the Academy Project »European Traditions – Encyclopedia of Jewish Cultures« since 2012. He is an affiliated PhD Candidate at the Dubnow Institute, Research Unit »Knowledge«.
He is copy-editor of the series »Library of Jewish History and Culture« and »Archive of Jewish History and Culture«. From 2012 to 2017 he served in the editorial team of the »Enzyklopädie jüdischer Geschichte und Kultur« (7 vols., 2011–2017) and is the contact person for its translation into English by the Brill publishing house (»Encyclopedia of Jewish History and Culture«). He studied Medieval and Modern History, Theatre Studies, and Journalism at the universities of Leipzig, Binghamton, N. Y., and Haifa, completing his MA degree at Leipzig University in 2011. In 2007 he received a Fulbright grant to Binghamton University. In 2006 he was student assistant at the Dubnow Institute; from 2008 to 2012 he worked as student, and later as academic assistant at the Academy Project »European Traditions – Encyclopedia of Jewish Cultures«.
