Events in Leipzig on the International Day of Provenance Research on April 10, 2024

The Leipzig institutions are involved with events on April 10, 2024 for the International Day of Provenance Research. Provenance research examines the ownership and possession history of cultural assets. The day of action, initiated by the Arbeitskreis Provenienzforschung e.V., draws attention to the social and scientific relevance of this research and communicates the diverse issues and methods to a broad audience.

In Leipzig, eleven museums, libraries and archives have prepared their own programs and activities for the day, and also the Dubnow Institute is offering a special tour of the exhibition »The Determining Gaze.«
