Volume 4 (2005)
Jahrbuch des Simon-Dubnow-Instituts/Simon Dubnow Institute Yearbook

The fourth volume of the yearbook focuses on the modern political history of Jews. Its thematic foci include the traditional intercession by Jews on behalf of Jews and the history of minority protection in the interwar period. Several contributions engage with the situation of Jews after World War I in the newly established states of East-Central Europe, especially Poland. The section »Aus der Forschung« introduces the »Ghetto« project, which was presented at the Historikertag in 2004. Alongside the usual sections »Diskussion«, »Dubnowiana«, and »Historiker und andere Gelehrte«, an extensive literature review documents recent publications on the history of Jewish diplomacy.
