Two new publications of the Dubnow Institute

The Leibniz Institute for Jewish History and Culture - Simon Dubnow introduces the new series»hefez«.with two publications by Israeli authors. In her book »Hebräische Schreibkultur in Europa,«Lilah Nethanel uses the example of Zalman Schneur to examine the significance of multilingualism and transnationality for Hebrew-European writing culture in the early 20th century. Bilha Shilo tells the story of the restitution of the collections of the largest Jewish research institute in Eastern Europe at the beginning of the Cold War in her volume »Ein Drama in Akten«about the YIVO in Vilnius.
