On Monday, 17 April 2023, at 6 p.m. in the Paulinum of Leipzig University, the renowned historian Jan Tomasz Gross will speak about the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. As a professor at Princeton University, New Jersey, his studies on the Jedwabne, Rzeszów, Krakow and Kielce pogroms have triggered lasting debates and significantly influenced the culture of remembrance, especially in Poland. His lecture will be in English, but simultaneously translated into German.

The event is part of the international conference "Looking at the Ghetto ...", which will take place in Leipzig from 17 to 19 April 2023, but can also be attended independently. The conference presentations will be held in German and English and will each be simultaneously translated.
