Internal Research Seminar

An internal research seminar over several days give staff members and doctoral candidates an opportunity to present their research before a select forum (consisting of colleagues and international guests) and to engage in lengthy discussion about the state of their research and associated methodological questions. To date, such conferences have been held in the Monasteries St. Marienthal near Ostritz in Saxony, where Saxony, Poland and the Czech Republic form the so-called Dreiländereck, and in the thuringian Monastery Donndorf. This special locations have proved to be ideal places for intensified concentration at a certain distance from the everyday routines of the Institute.
