Important Advice! Right now, there are many building sites in the centre of Leipzig. Please have a look at the signs!
A direct train operates from Leipzig/Halle Airport to Leipzig Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) every 20-30 minutes (from 5.22 a.m. to 11.52 p.m.). The trip takes about 15 minutes. During the night a bus shuttle, the Airport City Liner, runs once an hour. The trip takes about 30 minutes. From the Central Train Station, follow the directions as indicated below.
Proceed to the streetcar island in front of the main station. You can board any of the following streetcars: No. 15 (to Meusdorf), No. 4 (to Stötteritz), No. 7 (to Sommerfeld) or No. 12 (to Johannisplatz). Get off at Johannisplatz, a large square, and walk down Prager Straße for a few meters, then turn right into Talstraße and continue to the next cross street. The Institute is located at the corner of Talstraße and Goldschmidtstraße, No. 28.
If you are travelling by car toward central downtown Leipzig, leave the Autobahn at the exit marked Leipzig-Mitte and follow signs to the main train station. Once you have passed the station, turn right on Georgi-Ring (proceeding toward Augustusplatz), turn left at the first light into Grimmaischer Steinweg (toward Wurzen) and at the following intersection turn right into Nürnberger Straße. The following intersection is Goldschmidtstraße, turn left and continue to No. 28.
