Anne-Kathrin Gitter joined the administration of the Dubnow Institute in February 2018 in the context of maternity leave replacement. From 2005 to 2011, she studied German and Italian studies at Leipzig University, where she also absolved the First State Exam. Since 2012, she has been a doctoral candidate in modern German literature and literary theory at Leipzig University, where she is working on intertextual strategies of German-language realist authors of the nineteenth century with regard to the reception of Italian literature. She is a scholarship recipient of the Free State of Saxony and of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. Until February 2018, she was a coordinator in the interdisciplinary research seminar »CiCi« as well as a teaching and research associate at the Institute for Romance Studies at the University of Leipzig.
