Simon Dubnow Lecture

Proceeding from the idea of conceiving Jewish history as the history of various Jewries and to contextualize that history correspondingly in terms of space and society, since 2000 the Dubnow Institute, with the support of the Fritz Thyssen Foundation, has organized a public lecture on a selected topic of its spectrum of research as the high point of its annual program.

Internationally prominent historians and scholars from fields related to the Dubnow research profile are invited to Leipzig to speak before a larger audience, shedding instructive light on the history of the Jews within the context of universal history.
